Landy has started to show off during dinner time. As usual he may start shaking his head "no" to say he does not want something but in these videos he started something new. He now is making faces while eating. Don't know if he thinks the food will be too hot or too cold and is making that face. Either way it still was funny.

Fireworks!

I took an impromptu video of the 4th of July fireworks in Normal, IL.  This was done on my blackberry so the quality is not that great.  My cousin, Ivan, was sitting next to me and seemed to enjoy the show.

Landyn and the swimming pool

Landyn and mommy decided it would be a nice day to go swimming in the Island Oasis swimming pool today.  I guess you can tell by the video who had the most fun in the pool.  Landyn has been swimming a few times this summer, so this was not a new experience for him.  I do think today was the longest he stayed interested in the water though.  Pictures are below.

This was a good night for eating.  At the end of the video you will get a glimpse into our world on a bad night. He will act that way for anything we put in front of him on a bad night.  Enough about the bad stuff.  We were attempting to get him in a shot showing his hands clasped while saying our prayers for dinner.  Instead we got this show for you.

A day of First's

Well, its been a while since I have posted anything about us. I will not make any promisses that posts will happen in a more timely fashion, but I will try to give updates more often.

Rachel, Landyn and myself went to Providence Mall today. Our first choice would have been to go to Opry Mills, but the flood here has closed that down for a while. Today Landyn said another word for the first time. "Out". We were in the middle of JCPenney's picking out some summer shirts for him, and he out stretched his arms, from his stroller, reaching for Rachel and said "out". Things like this are happening more often with him. He amazes us day by day. So that was one first for today. The other first was eating at Cori's Dog House in Mt Juliet. I know you are wondering why that is a notable first. It was not just the meal but desert we HAD to have. Today is the first time all of us have tried a fried Twinkies. It was delicious. I know it was not healthy but you should indulge every once in a while. I don't think we will make a habit to go there just to get another. I guess you will have to ask Rachel if she will.

We had fun together today, and it is still not over yet. Maybe another first will happen yet again today.
